2 Day Medicine Wheel Journey Retreat

Qweqwetsin Family & Healing Lodge Society of 12 Lodges Inc. invite you to join us on Shuswap Lake for a rustic on the land camping retreat for a deep, transformational, heart opening ceremony. A rare sharing sharing of Indigenous teachings, shamanic ceremony, Reiki, breathwork, oracle readings, bodywork healing (optional), and a soul healing sound bath to connect to source energy and universal healing.

*Also featuring a global live streamed Secwepemc Water Ceremony & Drumming to bless and heal our sacred waters - home to the hisotric Adams River Pacific Wild Salmon run waters that have been devestated by wildfires, flooding, development and industry.

Our retreat is designed to reconnect you with nature, yourself, and community. Our experienced facilitators will guide you through this journey of self-discovery and personal growth. Through various activities, meditations, and teachings, you’ll learn about the ancient wisdom of the Medicine Wheel and how it can be applied in your daily life. A two day retreat Fri-Sun features a mini 45 minute psychedelic journey, a 4-6 hour long psychedelic journey and is based in the Indigenous Medicine Wheel Approach or 2 hour Cacao Ceremony for the spiritual, physical, psychological and emotional healing at a camping retreat on the beautiful Shuswap Lake in Sunnybrae, BC. Facilitated by a Certified Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Guide with 2 Indigenous Elders, and 2 helpers.

Includes:

- 1 mini journey 45 minutes with plant based medicine

- 1 full day 5-6 hour journey with plant based medicine

-Sound bath with Mindful Moon Energy Healing

- 1 Assessment Session

- 1 Preparation, Smudging and Intention Setting Ceremony with Guide and 2 Indigenous Elders

- 1 Post Session Integration Smudging and Ceremony

- Online blackboard community for ongoing Integration work and discussion

- Monthly Integration Groupwork on Zoom

- Either water purification dip or sweatlodge ceremony

- Prepared food, beverages and snacks all weekend

- Accomodations (with Tent or without) for 2 nights at Sunnybrae site on Shuswap Lake.

Meet Our Team

Dr. Cher Matthew

Cher of the Secwepemc Nation is a lighworker, certified Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (PAT) Facilitator, Indigenous Chaplain, Leadership Coach, Professor, and Reiki Level II Practitioner. She has a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from Carleton University, MA Leadership & Training (Royal Roads), and BA in Anthropology/Sociology (SFU). She has been active in the Indigenous sweatlodge since the age of 15 and has been engaged in multiple healing modalities like breathwork, creative visualization and yoga for over 30 years.

Elder Oliver Arnouse

Cultural Advisor & Counsellor for Online Integration & Sunnybrae Retreats

Elder Oliver of the Secwepemc Nation is a certified Counsellor specializing in Indigenous people, Indian Residential School Survivors, Substance Use & Addictions Therapy with over 30 years of experience.

Elder Geri Matthew

Cultural Advisor, Life Skills and Medicine Wheel Facilitator for Online Integration & Sunnybrae Retreats

Elder Geri is from the Secwepemc Nation and has a BA from SFU in Anthropology, is a Certified Secwepemc Indigenous Language Instructor, and certified Life Skills and Medicine Wheel Facilitator. She was the Director of Health for Simpcw First Nation for over ten years before retiring and an Instructor with the NAID program.

Mindful Moon Sound Baths w/Kendra & Quinton Armstrong

Spiritual healing and relaxation to manifest spiritual transformation. Kendra is a Reiki Master, advanced reflexologist, sound healer and teacher.

Nathania Jordan

Nathania is an Evidential Secwepemc Medium assisting in healing by connecting each sitter to their loved ones in spirit with evidence based information.
